Practical training for responsible civilians, security professionals, high-risk travelers, and working professionals. Fieldcraft. Situational awareness. Low-vis carry. Built around the real world, not the range.
Shrike Strategic builds and delivers practical training for anyone concerned about practical safety. Armed or unarmed. Civilian or professional. We train for the world you actually live in, not a competition stage or a square range.
Pattern recognition. Environmental reading. Pre-attack indicators. You can't shoot your way out of a problem you didn't see coming.
Concealed carry mechanics for the real world. Drawstroke, cover garment, vehicle access, retention. No competition timers. Threat-context reps.
Blending. Baseline analysis. Route assessment. Moving through the world without announcing yourself as a target or a threat.
Foundational situational awareness. Pre-incident indicators, baseline behavior, venue threat reads, and practical decision frameworks. The course that changes how you see every room you walk into.
Real-world concealed carry. Drawstroke mechanics, garment management, vehicle and seated draws, low-light, and retention fundamentals.
Fixed and folding blade deployment, retention cutting, force escalation context, and EDC selection that actually makes sense for carry.
Unarmed defense and improvised weapons for the moments when you have nothing else. Clinch work, weapon of opportunity selection, and force options below lethal.
Three days on practical fieldcraft. Blending, route assessment, counter-surveillance basics, communication plans, and threat avoidance over engagement.
Bring the training to your group. Couples, families, travel partners, and working teams. Curriculum built around your specific environment, not a generic template.
Self-paced online modules for awareness, carry, and fieldcraft fundamentals. Study before you attend. Reference after you leave.
The tools we make exist because we couldn't find anything worth recommending to students. Everything here is built to match the training: low-vis, functional, and durable enough to not think about.
G10 is our primary material because it doesn't care about temperature, solvents, or hard use. We machine in-house. Every piece leaves here ready to work.
Shrike curriculum is built and delivered by practitioners with real operational backgrounds. Our lead instructor brings over twelve years of federal law enforcement experience, including regional oversight of firearms, defensive tactics, and officer survival training across a four-state territory covering undercover and plain-clothes operations, uniformed officers, and federal agents.
The decade since has been spent in the private sector — continuing in firearms and tactics instruction, and working with security teams across the US in executive protection for critical infrastructure, government facilities, corporate leadership, and ultra-high-net-worth principals. Operational backgrounds across the cadre further include surveillance and counter-surveillance, IED recognition and response, and extensive travel in nonpermissive environments. What we teach is built from those contexts and translated for people who live outside them.
I've taken a lot of training. Most of it is range-focused or theoretical. AWARE was the first course that actually changed how I move through public spaces. I notice things now that I never would have caught before.
Carry Concepts fixed a drawstroke problem I'd been fighting for two years. No judgment, no competition mindset. Just practical mechanics built around how people actually dress and move in the real world.
My wife and I both attended. She had never taken any formal training. By the end of day one she was reading environments completely differently. That's the point. This isn't just for people who already carry.
Hardware gets you in the fight.
